28 Oct 2007 - on my birthday. The is the best birthday gift i ever had ... i am gifted with my 2 little cuties. Yi Ler is only 80 days old; He look curious on my handphone camera. As usual, Xinyue like to post her most beautiful smile when facing camera. I LOVE YOU, my darling, my dearest girl & boy.

My wedding's "sisters"

This picture was captured together with all my wedding “sisters” on the morning of our wedding day. Promised to send a replicate but have not done so till now …Thousand apologies!!! Hope it is not too late …hehe… just downloads into your pc, cherishes the memory we had some time ago.

One significant change in the picture is almost all the “sisters” had got married, i.e. from left - Li Ling, Hooi Ling, Wan Chyn, Boon Cheng, Chiew Lan, Sook Ling & Chow Chit

4th wedding anniversary

Time flies… I still can recall that we celebrated our 1^st wedding anniversary together with Xin Yue. She was only at about 2 months old.

Today, we celebrated ours 4^th anniversary with addition family member, our second child, Yi Ler …he is only 6 weeks old.

We went out to a nearby steamboat house (Lok Lok King) to have our dinner; Xin Yue enjoyed eating & playing there. She took charge of removing all the selected food wraps from the containers (the food are being routed to us thru the conveyor belt). She dip her favorite fish ball into the individual soup pot … she told us she is very happy and excited of being able to make her own steamboat “masak-masak”

My journey as a mother of two

The arrival of my newborn baby boy made me all tearful and joyful at the same time.

In fact, it was vastly different experience of giving birth as compared to my previous delivery.

I went through a caesarian section for my daughter as she was deemed to be a breech baby. As such, I had always felt incomplete in being a mother without experiencing the labour pains of a natural childbirth. Finally, the journey of being complete began when I took the advice to rest before my EDD (estimated due date), 16 Aug. It was a much-needed rest as I had been having sleepless nights and no quality sleep prior. Hence, I decided to work till 8 Aug and went on leave thereafter. I sent out the updated handover list to my peers on that night and left the office at about 8pm.

It was amazing and everything seemed to fall into perspective!

My mild contractions started on the following day; when the contractions were regular and about 5 minutes apart, my husband admitted me to hospital at midnight 3am.

I was in active labour at 7am. As the contraction pains became more frequent, I struggled (8am – 12noon). Finally, I was in labour and gave birth at noon, 10 Aug. Though the labour moments were scary and painful, when I looked at my newborn baby, it was the happiest moment of my life, one that I could hardly express in words.

I was grateful that my husband accompanied me throughout the delivery.

Though he couldn't do anything in the labour room, but the moral support and encouragement were sufficient to assure me.

We were so surprised when we got to know that our baby boy had the same weight (3.3kg) and height (51cm) as his sister when she was born.

A string of amazing coincidences!

The daddy got them with simple names but extraordinarily;

My girl was named as Xin Yue (心悅) which means "delightful heart/happiness" and the boy called Yi Ler (亦乐) which means "bundle of joy".

Perhaps, if you understand Chinese, you could comprehend and appreciate much more, i.e. 赏心悅目, 不亦乐乎

Be it a natural childbirth or caesarian, I had gone through both and I am glad that I have a pair of boy and girl now !!

My journey as a mother of two doesn't stop here. It will continue because once we have babies, we are mother for life.
